WELLNGTON Weekly News sports reporter Barry Knott was not allowed to forget his 70th birthday on Friday when members of staff decorated the office with balloons and banners.

“As it was my day off I thought I might get away with it,” said Barry who has worked on the paper for nearly ten years.

“And to think I told them earlier in the week I was only 50.”

Barry spent the rest of the day on the beach at Dunster.
