Artists and performers are being encouraged to register for the biennial 10 Parishes Festival as the March 31 deadline for signups looms.

The nine day festival for performing arts will take place in and around Wiveliscombe from September 9 to September 17.

Organisers say registrations from participating artists have been gaining pace in advance of the deadline.

The festival is centred around artist's open studios, collective exhibitions and performances. A number of venues have already been secured in advance of the festival, including Waterrow Village Hall and the Wiveliscombe Community Centre.

The previous 10 Parishes festival held in 2021 saw a record level of artist sales, exceeding £55,000.

Festival Director Pauline Homeshaw said: “It is the planning now, six months ahead of the Festival, that ensures its continued success in bringing the community together with the many talented artists and creatives that live within our local villages. This year’s Festival theme is Reflections, which artists can incorporate into their work if they so wish.”
