In its first Ofsted inspection since becoming a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (CIO), Court Fields Pre-School, which moved to occupy part of the old Wellington Youth Centre two years ago, has been graded as Outstanding.
The glowing report states that “children flourish under the care of exceptionally committed staff in this welcoming pre-school”, and “Children exhibit very high levels of confidence and perseverance in all aspects of their learning”.
Manager Mrs Sheryl Higgs said she was incredibly proud of what they had achieved. She added: “A combination of wonderful staff, supportive trustees, lovely parents, a fantastic venue, and of course our amazing children, of whom we are so proud, has all contributed to us earning the Outstanding grade.”
The pre-school operates term time and has 45 children on roll. The building has a great adventure garden, with supervised climbing equipment, along with play and growing areas. It offers sessional day care for the 2 to 4 years age range.
Chair of Trustees, Cliff Marsh said: “I was confident that Sheryl and her staff would be recognised with an outstanding rating as they all work so hard, and the trustees are so proud of them all.”
