New food hygiene ratings have been awarded to two of Somerset’s restaurants, cafes or canteens, the Food Standards Agency’s website shows – and it’s good news for them both.

Dunster Country Stores Cafe, at The Bungalow, Loxhole Sawmill, Dunster, Somerset was handed a five-out-of-five rating after assessment on October 4.

And Gather & Gather by CH & CO Catering, at Magnox, Hinkley Point A, Hinkley Point Road, Stogursey was also given a score of five on September 26.

It means that of Somerset's 956 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 796 (83%) have ratings of five and just one has a zero rating.
