Nynehead Court’s second National Garden Scheme Open Gardens of 2023 was a huge success, raising over £700 for charity.

The home’s NGS Open Gardens events are always well attended by gardens enthusiasts eager to see the home’s 14 acres during different seasons, and last year the home received a silver trowel in recognition of its 10 years of participation in the scheme.

In addition to tours of the grounds, visitors were able to enjoy cream teas and purchase plants and books.

The money raised will benefit good causes, including Marie Curie, Macmillan Cancer Support, and Hospice UK.

Home Manager Joanne Fenn said, “Our NGS Open Gardens events are always popular, and thanks to the lovely weather our visitors were even able to enjoy their cream teas outdoors this time.

“We are grateful to everyone who attended for their support, and look forward to seeing them again at our next Open Gardens, which will be on 16th July.”
