The annual Howard Road Fun Day has marked its 12th year with a fun in the sun event on the green.

The annual day of games on the green saw temperatures in the high 20s as families enjoyed a barbecue, teas and cakes ice cream and entertainments.

The event, which is organised by Wellington Churches Together, and supported by the town council, saw around 150 attend in all.

Wellington mayor Marcus Barr opened the event, which saw children enjoy a number of games, and battle it out with another in a water fight.
