UPDATE: The fire brigade confirmed the cause of the callout was a "false alarm with good intent."
Fire fighters raced to respond to an incident at a care home on Wednesday afternoon.
The fire brigade were called at 12.24 pm after an alarm was raised at the Kilkenny Court care home in Taunton.
A fire crew from Wellington was seen racing through the town centre at around 12.40 pm and is believed to be joining fire fighters from Taunton in attending the incident.
Kilkenny Court is a Somerset Council owned unit comprising of 46 flats which provides care to elderly residents.
