NYNEHEAD Court Care Home will host its ‘fun’ dog show for Wellington residents and visitors on September 7.

The event will be held in the home's gardens and will feature a variety of local canines competing in categories such as best rescue and golden oldie. 

The dog show aims to bring the community together for a day filled with entertainment.

Other categories include best in show, prettiest female, most handsome male, cutest puppy (under one year), waggiest tail, the dog that looks most like its owner, youngest handler and best trick.

Dogs can be enrolled until 1pm with judging to start at 2pm by Gordon Dyer.

There will also be refreshments, tombola, gift stalls, face painting and more. Entry costs £2 each or three for £5. Cash only.
