HOW restoration was carried out in Castle Gardens, Taunton, will be the subject of an illustrated public talk being given in Wellington next week.
The gardens are next to the Museum of Somerset, in Castle Green, in Taunton town centre, and are owned by the Somerset Archaeological and Natural History Society (SANHS) which also owns Taunton Castle.
By 2019, the gardens had become overgrown and there were several large, unsafe trees which needed to be felled and removed.
SANHS chairman at the time Chris Jessop, who was deeply involved in the gardens restoration project, will discuss it from 7.30 pm on Thursday, September 26, in Wellington Prep School Hall, in South Street.
Entry is £3 for members of Wellington Local History and Museum Society and £4 for others.
