A SAUSAGE and cider festival is being held in Wellington town centre on Saturday afternoon (August 17).
The event will start at 1 pm in the car park of the town’s Conservative Club, which has been given planning permission to create a beer garden with picnic-style benches.
It can be accessed by foot from High Street, or by vehicle from the Longforth Road car park.
Organisers have promised ‘various sausages and ciders’ will be available during the afternoon and have opened the festival for both club members and non-members.
The festival has been arranged by the club’s entertainment committee, which has also booked singer Jason Toft to appear in the evening from 8.30 pm after a bingo session at 7.30 pm.
