KIERA Alice Chard, a Wellington-based theatrical performer, is set to give a solo vocal performance in Holcombe Rogus on Saturday (October 12).

Kiera, who graduated from the Guildford School of Acting in 2020, with a Masters degree in Theatre, is trained and specialises in ballet, jazz, tap and commercial dance.

She first started performing at the early age of 12-years-old and has been performing professionally for the last three years.

Adding to her theatrical training, she is also trained in singing by a master Estill technique teacher and top acting tutors from around the world. Her unique training makes her a strong performer.

Kiera has performed across the UK, from Edinburgh to Falmouth, and has also worked on a telematics project with Studio School LA, making her an international artist. She also recently appeared on screen for ITV, BBC, Amazon Prime and Netflix.

She will be performing at the Prince of Wales pub in Holcombe Rogus, near Wellington, from 9pm.

Kiera sent a copy of her demo performance to Paul Cross and Niki Mitten, who run the pub, who said: “We thought she sounded great so booked her in, and she is a local.

“We are trying to host music once a month, and if it goes well, would like to host fortnightly live music.”

Paul and Niki currently have a number of acts booked in for November and have a performance confirmed ion the Holcombe Christmas lights evening on December 6.

The couple have also received a brand-new pizza oven for the pub and freshly made pizzas are now on the menu.
