TAUNTON’S Brewhouse Theatre is joining forces with local charity Taunton Foodbank to offer families free tickets to see Pinocchio later this year.
The Brewhouse is promoting a Pay It Forward campaign to fund free tickets for families, which will be distributed by the foodbank.
As part of the campaign, customers purchasing tickets for Pinocchio will be asked if they would like to donate to the Brewhouse fund, with all money raised being used to provide the tickets.
Taunton Foodbank is part of a nationwide network of foodbanks, supported by The Trussell Trust, working to combat poverty and hunger across the UK.
They opened in 2012 and last year gave 7,179 four-day food supplies to families in need.
Vickie Robbins, executive director at Taunton Brewhouse, said: “We are thrilled to be supporting the valuable work of Taunton Foodbank for a second year by raising funds and providing them with free tickets to our production of Pinocchio.
“Last year, our patrons helped us to distribute 100 tickets via the Foodbank, so we’re hoping to match or exceed that number again this Christmas.”
Pinocchio will run at Taunton Brewhouse from December 4-29.
