JOIN Somerset Wildlife Trust for an enchanting guided walk to uncover the captivating world of biofluorescence, just outside Wellington, this autumn.

Biofluorescence is a fascinating natural phenomenon where certain organisms glow in colours different to those they absorb.

Armed with UV torches, those who attend the event at Langford Heathfield will venture into the night to witness this mesmerising display first-hand.

From fungi and insects to various plants, people will be amazed by the vibrant hues of green, blue, red, purple, and orange that light up the darkness.

Perfect for nature enthusiasts, the walk is designed for people aged 16 and over, though an earlier session is available for families with younger children.

Be sure to dress warmly as the walk moves at a slow pace. Sturdy shoes are a must as the terrain can be uneven and muddy, and trousers are recommended to avoid those pesky stinging nettles.

Safety glasses will be provided and are required throughout the walk and the maximum distance covered will be around two miles.

Spaces for the event are limited and selling fast and people can book via this website: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/biofluorescent-night-walk-tickets-871677810797?aff=ebdssbdestsearch

The event will be held on Saturday, October 26, between 8.30pm and 10pm.
