A FREE family fun open day returns to Taunton Ambulance Station on August 18 from 11 am to 4 pm when people will have an opportunity to meet their local crews.
The ambulance service trust will be offering the chance to climb aboard a frontline emergency ambulance and learn about life-saving equipment it carries.
Other emergency vehicles will be there from Avon and Somerset Search and Rescue, Avon and Somerset Police, Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, and the British Association for Immediate Care Doctors.
Staff will also provide free training on lifesaving CPR, with a ‘taking part’ certificate, and there will be activities for children, including a bouncy castle, face painting, treasure hunt, live music, and gift and craft stalls.
