MORE than 90 people turned up to support an inaugural quiz designed to raise funds for a village primary school on the edge of Wellington.

Langford Budville Church of England Primary School hosted the event - which covered everything from Premier League football to ‘name that tune’ - was held on Friday, November 8.

Run by the 'Friends of Langford Budville School Association' group, the quiz also included various different knowledge rounds, including naming Barbie's job.

Members of the community also contributed to the event, which was held in the Jubilee Hall in the village, by providing food platters and a bar.

A number of donations were given to a raffle, which was also a feature of the evening boosting school proceeds even further, which included a 6ft Christmas Tree from Langford Lakes, vouchers for local hair salons and barber shops, local artists and, of course, a number of different food and drink gifts.
