THE Wellesley Cinema in Wellington is screening the 25th Anniversary show of the “global stage sensation” Miss Saigon.

The acclaimed musical is being shown as part of Wellesley Cinema’s ‘Stage to Screen’ programme for one night only on September 24 at 7.30pm.

Miss Saigon is the 1989 musical based on Giacomo Puccini’s 1904 opera Madame Butterfly adapted by Claude-Michel Schönberg and Alain Boubill.

It tells the story of a doomed romance between a Vietnamese woman and her American lover during the Vietnam War.

The 25th Anniversary show directed by Brett Sullivan will feature the original cast including Jonathan Pryce and Lea Salonga.
