MILVERTON Amateur Dramatic Society will be performing their unique rendition of the pantomime Puss in Boots this January.

The upcoming pantomime is set in Longny au Perche in France, a village twinned with Milverton. With music from the 1970's, the show features Fairy Beaujolais, a young boy Maverick and his pet cat Felix, as well as a cast of larger-than-life characters, including an ogre, rats and a fairy.

Attendees should expect a sprinkling of magic, slapstick humour, cheese and wine, and some merry singing and dancing.

Rebecca Beard, the writer and director, said: "I'm thrilled to be directing my third panto with this fun and talented group and I'm so lucky to be working with such a great team. We love the support we get from the Milverton community."

Milverton Amateur Dramatics has been a staple of the local community since its establishment in 1957, performing two shows yearly.

Puss in Boots will be showing from Thursday, January 16, until Saturday, January 18, at Victoria Rooms, Milverton.

Tickets cost £10 for adults and £5 for under 16s and can be booked through ticketsource.co.uk/mads or by emailing [email protected]
