HUNDREDS of people have registered their interest in the return of Culmstock’s Soapbox Derby.
The event, which is set to see competitors go ahead to head in home-made gravity driven karts, is set to take place on Sunday, May 26, from 12pm to 4pm.
Hunters Hill Road is set to be closed for racing day, as racers swoop down the steep hill at speed.
Race day entrants much pay £10 per cart, with spectators attending free of charge.
The derby’s rules stipulate that all karts much have brakes and steering, and that those under 16 years of age should be accompanied by a guardian.
Attendance to spectate the event is free of charge, though spectators have been advised to book their free tickets in advance.
