A FLORAL brooch making workshop will take place in Wellington this October.
Bodkin Beak will host the workshop on Wednesday, October 9, at Eliza House on Fore Street.
Artist Sally Light, known as Bodkin Beak, hosts regular workshops using the traditional “rag rug” techniques.
Sally is currently putting on her exhibition ‘Hedgeweft’ at Eliza House as part of the Somerset Art Weeks Festival.
‘Hedgeweft’, which combines spoken word, field recordings and digital textiles, shares Sally’s personal experiences of what it’s like to work as a mender at Fox’s Brothers Mill in Wellington and will be open until Sunday, October 6.
The workshop will run from 10am until 1pm and costs £35 per participant with tools and fabrics provided.
