THE Wellington cluster of primary schools are having a Vocabulary Day – also known as The Found Words – today (Wednesday).
Children and staff in all cluster schools – West Buckland, St John’s, Rockwell Green, Beech Grove, Wellesley Park, Sampford Arundel, Langford Budville and Stawley – will be dressed as a word for the day.
Each school will create a book called ‘The Found Words’ during the event that can be used in schools/classes.
It will have a picture of the child dressed as the word, as a visual image, and then the word and definition – like a visual dictionary.
Close to 850 children will be using and discussing vocabulary.
