STUDENTS at Court Fields School have been dissecting pig organs as part of a Premed anatomy event last week.

On Friday, March 21, 60 students from years 9-11 had the opportunity immerse themselves in learning about human anatomy, undertaking seven dissections from the organs of a pig.

The event was facilitated by donations from Somerset Council Social Value Fund and Wellington’s Rotary Club in an effort to provide an immersive science experience for students.

A representative of the school said: “The event was definitely not for the faint hearted, but all students got involved and led with questions and inquisitiveness.

“We would like to again thank the Wellington Rotary club and Somerset Council Social Value Fund for their kind donations to allow students to experience such an educationally rich event.”
