AN Easter bake sale has raised almost £500 for a children’s cancer charity over the Bank Holiday weekend.

The Iron Duke in Wellington held the fundraising event, which saw cakes and homemade knick-knacks raise £496 for the Young Lives V Cancer charity.

The cakes were mostly cooked by the Wetherspoon’s staff, with some provided by local baker SB Bakes.
