A DRIVER who caused the death of West Buckland man Elliot Sparks last year is due to be sentenced five days before Christmas.

David Knight, of Richards Close, Wellington, admitted causing death by dangerous driving when he appeared in Taunton Crown Court in October.

Mr Sparks, 35, died when his car left the A38 road on Whiteball Hill, near the Beambridge Inn, and hit a tree in March, 2021.

Knight, 46, is scheduled to appear on December 20 for sentencing by a crown court judge.
