FIRE crews were dispatched to tackle a “fully developed fire” in Wellington.

Crews were called to a domestic property in Springfield Road at around 11pm on Wednesday, September 6.

Wellington Fire Service reported on their Facebook page: “Crews overcame narrow access to extinguish the fire saving neighbouring buildings.

“The cause of the fire is thought to have happened due to an electrical appliance within the building.

“Crews returned home station just before 3am this morning (Thursday, September 5).”
