Court Fields School recently celebrated the achievements of its students in their GCSEs and other qualifications this summer with the school’s best ever results.
Significant improvements have been shown across all areas from 2019, including English, Maths and Science. Students also achieved particularly well in History, Geography, the Arts and PE.
Polly Matthews, Headteacher at Court Fields said: “We have shown significant improvements across the board from the pre-Covid 2019 results.
“The grades represent the school’s best results since the introduction of the reformed GCSEs in 2017 and demonstrate the progress made by our school.”
Students achieving a strong pass (5+) in English and Maths increased by 8% on 2019, with an increase of 10% in students gaining grade 5+ in English.
The school is emphasising its recognition to the significant achievements of many of their students, both in terms of progress and attainment, with particular congratulations going to the following:

“Today’s results reflect their hard work and commitment, but also represent the culmination of their time with us, their rich experiences over the last five years and we know that they leave us as ambitious young people, well prepared to live happy and successful lives.”
Mrs Matthews also paid tribute to her staff and community, she said: “We are incredibly lucky to have such a stable and highly skilled staff team at Court Fields, who work so hard and are committed to students’ learning in the classroom and through enrichment, trips, visits and our fantastic pastoral support.
“They provide not only the subject knowledge and pedagogy to develop our students’ learning, but also have the positive relationships that underpin good progress and allow our students to thrive.
Of course the support of our parents and families also plays a key part in our students’ success, and I would like to thank them for their commitment in what really is a team effort.”
