Court Fields School leaders in Wellington have spoken of their pride for year-10 students who completed their mock interviews recently.
Staff sat the prompt attendance and mature approach demonstrated they were ready to face the challenge, which for many was quite daunting.
A school spokesman said: “All students left their interviews with a real sense of achievement, many looking much taller than when they arrived, and the smiles were good to see.
“Awards were given to 32 students who were all recognised for an interesting or engaging interviews, or for overcoming their initial nerves and holding a conversation.”
Milly H was this year’s overall winner, scoring maximum points for her answers, appearance, preparation, and interaction with her interviewer.
Liam B and Zedrick V were just behind Milly on points so worthy runners up.
The school spokesman added “We have already received lots of positive feedback from our interview panel. We are so grateful to them for taking the time to support our students. From both the private and public sector, from local to national organisations, the business community have made a lasting contribution to the future of these students.
“A huge thank you to all of those that got involved, we look forward to welcoming you back to Court Fields School for Mock Interviews 2025.”
