A WELLINGTON man died in his home from an overdose of drugs, an inquest was told.
Senior Somerset Coroner Samantha Marsh heard paramedics were called to the house in Mantle Street after Steven Troake became unresponsive.
Mr Troake, aged 46, had earlier injected himself with heroin, and died shortly after the medical team arrived on December 8 last year.
Mrs Marsh, sitting in the Old Municipal Buildings, Taunton, heard evidence that Mr Troake had been a heroin addict for more than 20 years.
A pathologist who carried out a post mortem examination found a cocktail of morphine and other drugs in his body.
Mrs Marsh concluded Mr Troake’s death was ‘drug-related’.
