A ribbon cutting ceremony has marked the opening of Cavanna Homes’ newest show home at Oak Mount in Hemyock.

Hemyock’s Parish Council Chairman, Cllr Paul Doble performed the opening. He said, “We are pleased to see this development is offering a good range of open market and affordable houses, and the Parish Council looks forward to receiving the three hectares of community land for new and existing residents of Hemyock to enjoy.”

Oak Mount is a development of 40 new energy-efficient three and four-bedroom homes, with eco friendly heat pumps. Funds released from the development have been allocated by Mid Devon District Council to primary and secondary educational facilities and for school transport. Further Section 106 contributions include the allocation of public open space on the development.
