LOCAL resident Joseph Ödubdha set up for a morning of busking outside of the Co-op on Fore Street on Thursday, October 10.

The former landscaper has busked for a number of years on and off and is regularly seen in Wellington. But he’s back and wants to “get the fire burning again.”

Several members of the public asked him to leave, which led to a minor public disturbance before they moved on, with Joseph continuing to perform.

Joseph said: “I believe if you have a dream, I’m starting to see that people will always try to get in the way, to try to stop it.

“I’ve been (performing) for years but I’ve had so many breaks, I always have to come back to get the fire burning again, it takes a lot to rekindle the flame.

“I never really dreamt of being a billionaire, I don’t care about money. I care about singing to a lot of people and seeing them dance and loving it, that’s what I like.”
