CONSTRUCTION of a housing development in Cotford St Luke has been re-opened with the easing of lockdown restrictions.

Larkfleet Homes re-started the work at Quantock View, as well as another site in North Devon, on Monday in line with Government guidelines. The sales centres at both developments are also now open.

Staff, contractors and suppliers are following a new set of protocols to ensure safety and to comply with strict social distancing rules.

Karl Hick, the chief executive of Lincolnshire-based Larkfleet Homes, said: “To ensure the safety of our staff, contractors and potential home buyers, we are insisting that all construction site workers must sign and accept our Covid Secure health and safety guidelines.

“Our new guidelines are fully compliant with Government public health guidance and are being strictly enforced by site managers.

“We have continued to receive enquiries throughout the lockdown and believe it is vital to get construction sites working again. This is not only to satisfy pent-up demand but to help kickstart the UK economy as a whole.”
