IT'S good news for flower lovers as Grandfields Flower Shop and Studio opens in Wellington.
Business owner Kitty Tredwin said the new store would be working with local suppliers from Wellington and Bradford-on-Tone to offer flower arrangements 'like no other.'
The new store, which has taken over the old Whiteball Garage premises, will also contain a studio where Kitty and her team will put together flowers for weddings and other events, as well as hosting workshops to the public.
Kitty started Grandfields as a studio business in London before taking it to Bristol and has now brought Grandfields back to her home town of Wellington where the new storefront will showcase what she said was her 'unique contemporary style.'
Ms Tredwin told the Wellington Weekly: "Grandfields Flower Shop and Studio offers a chance for local flower lovers to come in and pick up a bunch of flowers like no other. The business caters to those who love the idea of seasonal, locally grown stems while also looking for something memorable.
"We pride ourselves on working with local growers from Wellington, Bradford on Tone and Bristol to meet our environmentally conscious targets while making sure we include a selection of more modern flowers that won't be found in your traditional florists shop.
"One side of our new premises is dedicated to our studio work where we create wedding flowers, host workshops and put together event flowers - and we have opened the other side up as a shop."
The Grandfields shop will be open to the public from 8 am to 6 pm on Thursdays and Fridays, and 10 am to 3 pm on Saturdays.
