TAUNTON Deane Crematorium was packed on Friday (January 19) for the funeral service of Dave Wiltshire, who had been treasurer of the Blackdown Hills Skittles League for more than 30 years.

Dave, who played skittles for Bashers, lived in Hemyock and leaves behind a widow Andrea (Andy) and daughter Emma.

He was described by the skittles league as ‘a fantastic sportsman, great captain for the best part of 25 years, win or lose’. 

A league spokesperson said: “And he loved banter.”
