WELLINGTON’S Asda supermarket has reopened after power outages forced the store to temporarily close this morning.

On Tuesday, March 11, Asda suddenly closed due to what the team in situ described at ‘tech issues’ (Tuesday, March 11).

A spokesperson for the supermarket chain has confirmed that the technical fault at the store was caused by a National Grid power outage, which is understood to have taken place along Longforth Road earlier this morning.

Asda is now open as usual.
