A PRESENTATION by Christine Williams revealing the connection between Queen Victoria, Blue Serge, and Wellington Cottage Hospital will follow on from the annual meeting of the town’s local history and museum society.

The meeting will be held in Wellington Prep School Hall, South Street, at 7 pm on Thursday, March 27, when entry will be free but donations welcomed.

Society press officer Mike Menhenitt said: “This is your chance to hear what the museum and your society has been up to during the last 12 months and an opportunity to ask committee members questions.”

Mr Menhenitt said member subscriptions were also now due for 2026 at a cost of £5 for singles, (concession £4), and joint membership at £7 (concessions £5.50).
