A motorcyclist escaped without injury after being hit by a school bus in Milverton.
The collision happened at around 4.30 pm on Tuesday, September 12, after a bus taking Kingsmead students home had made its last drop-off.
While travelling down Sand Street the bus encountered traffic and began to reverse, unaware of a motorcyclist who was in its blindspot.
The bus then collided with the bike, which is understood to have sustained some damage.
Police arrived on the scene and closed the road for around 30 minutes, while they spoke to the involved parties. One officer was seen carrying out a breathalyser test.
Fortunately no injuries were sustained in the incident and police said no crime had been committed.
The bus was not carrying any passengers when the collision took place.
