A person was trapped in their car after a two-vehicle road traffic collision occurred in Wellington on Friday September 6.
Devon and Somerset Fire and Rescue Service said on its incident log: “Fire Control received an emergency call from the Police reporting a two-vehicle road traffic collision in the Ford Street area of Wellington and asking for Fire and Rescue assistance due to one person still within the vehicle.
“Both crews from Wellington and the on-duty crew from Taunton was immediately mobilised.
“Crew successfully rescued the person within the vehicle by using cutting gear to take the door off the vehicle to create space and also using vehicle stabilisation equipment and also got to work making the vehicle safe.
“Paramedics who were on scene then provided first aid to the casualty.”
