A talk on Wellington’s waterways attracted more than 80 people, raising over £750 for the town’s environmental collective Transition Town Wellington.

The talk, titled, The Wildlife of Wellington’s Waterways, took place at Braziers Coffee Shop at Tonedale Mill on Thursday, March 20, offering advice and commentary from a range of experts.

Speakers included Dr Rob Williams from the Somerset Otter Group, Nathanial Legall from the Somerset Mammal Group, and James Grischeff from Somerset Wildlife Trust.

Chair of Transition Town Wellington, Anita Roy said: “We had an absolutely brilliant evening at the Wildlife of Wellington's Waterways talk at Braziers.

“It was fantastic to have Fiona, Sue and some of the other Water Guardians there too as well as Lucy Pendrick, our wildlife group supremo and amazing painter.”
