THREE men arrested after an alleged stabbing attack in Wellington earlier this month have been released on bail.

One of the trio was released on police bail shortly after the incident, which happened late in the evening of September 7.

Now, all three have been bailed to report back to police by the end of November or early in December.

An Avon and Somerset Constabulary spokesperson confirmed that no charges had yet been brought against any of them.

The victim, who lived in Churchfields and who survived, was alleged to have suffered multiple stab wounds and was taken by paramedics to Musgrove Park Hospital, Taunton, from where he has since been discharged.

Police said the attack was being treated as an isolated incident with the victim and suspects believed to have been known to one another.

Wellington’s neighbourhood policing team has been carrying out high-visibility patrols in the area as reassurance for residents.
